Shenita Sneed is the Founder and Executive Director of Prodigy Community Development (PCD) which was founded in 2020. She started the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization looking for various ways to be an impact in the community with a specific focus on under resourced youth and families, single parents and wanting to be the spark in the next generation of young masterminds.
Shenita is a proud graduate of Sam Houston State University located in Huntsville, Texas, where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management.
Over the past 18+ years, Shenita has worked with numerous nonprofit organizations (YMCA of Greater Houston and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston) as well as faith based programs. She was an instrumental part of planning, developing, implementing, and managing programs which include before and after school programs, summer enrichment camps and youth mentoring.
Shenita has always had a passion for working with youth and a heart to serve her community. In her spare time, she loves event planning, traveling, shopping, an aspiring foodie and spending time with friends and family. In 2023, Shenita launched her newest venture "Prodigy Fun Zone" which is a mobile enrichment service. She partners with day camps, churches, and community centers to bring this enrichment program to youth.
“No matter where you are in life or what life challenges you with, you are still valuable, you can still change the world, you are still a PRODIGY”
